31、Set up a blanket under a shady tree and read with your kids. 在树荫下铺一张毯子，然后和孩子们一起读绘本。（注意防蚊哦）
32、Take an early morning bird walk. Choose the right field guide.全家一起早期去观鸟，选择对的野外指南。（在国内观鸟的话，估计得去动物园了）
33、Grow vegetables. And then eat them. 种菜，然后一起吃。（米粒奶奶特喜欢在阳台上种菜，淘宝买了种子，种的菜够老两口吃，还经常给我们送，豆芽啊，小白菜啊，生菜啊，秋葵啊，棒棒哒）
34、Grow flowers. And then arrange them. 种花，然后一起摆放。
35、Let the kids cook dinner. In fact, make a tradition of it.让孩子们做回晚饭，事实上，可以作为家庭传统经常这样做。（先让大点的孩子学会煮饺子、番茄炒蛋吧）
36、Host the kids´ friends for a sleepover. And the maybe your kids will be invited next--giving you a free evening. 让孩子的朋友们来过夜，也许你家娃也会被邀请去别人家过夜，你就有了个自由的晚上。
37、Go to a nearby museum that you´ve never been to before.去你们还没去过的本地博物馆参观（米粒同学点名要这周末去汽车博物馆）
38、Go to your favorite local museum...again.再次参观你家宝贝最爱的本地博物馆
39、Go to a carnival or county fair. Eat cotton candy, fried dough or something really bad once this summer. 去嘉年华、游乐园/集市，吃点棉花糖、炸甜甜圈之类特别不健康的东西，整个夏天就吃一回！（可以去本市的游乐场；有条件的可以去上海或香港的迪斯尼；大点的孩子，大阪的哈利波特乐园强烈推荐哦）
40、Decorate your walkways with chalk. Better yet, make your own chalk.在人行道上画粉笔画，最好呢，自制粉笔吧（美国人喜欢什么都自己做……）
41、Take a hike. Choose a route near your house or take a drive to a more distant park.去徒步旅行，可以选家旁边的路线，或是开车去远点的公园。
42、Plant a butterfly garden. Watch the butterflies flutter by.养一个蝴蝶园，看蝴蝶翩翩飞舞！（淘宝上就有各种蝴蝶蛹、孵化屋卖，超赞哦）
43、Make fresh lemonade. Maybe even sell it at a lemonade stand! 和孩子一起自制柠檬汁，还可以支个小摊卖柠檬汁！（幸好美国没城管……）
44、Take road trip to a nearby city. Spend the night if you can or just make it a day trip.开车去隔壁城市玩，可以当天往返，也可以住上一晚。
45、Show the kids science is fun. Try some experiments.给孩子展示出科学的趣味，在家做些科学小实验！（不知道从哪开始的，可以买些科学实验包，或是儿童动手实验的相关书籍）
46、Make daisy chains and ear them all day! 用雏菊做条项链，戴一整天！
47、Visit a local attraction and play tourist for the day. Take photos, be silly, and buy souvenirs. 去当地的景点玩，当一回游客。拍照，傻傻的，买些纪念品。（米粒妈在北京生活了三十多年，好多景点没去过，惭愧……）
48、Read a chapter book aloud. Or even go on and read a whole series together.大声读绘本吧，读一章或是一整本
49、Listen to a classic as an audiobook. Or try these newer audiobooks. 用有声书的形式听一本经典名著，或者听些新的书/绘本。（可以听听喜马拉雅APP的米粒妈磨耳朵电台哦，各种原版绘本、英文童谣的音频，在APP里搜“米粒妈英文”就有啦）
50、Teach the kids a game you haven´t played since you were a kid.教孩子玩些你长大之后就再没玩过的游戏。（跳房子，弹球，跳皮筋，扔沙包，拍画片儿……）
51、Volunteer at a senior citizen´s residence with your kids. 和孩子们一起去养老院做义工。
52、Start a neighbourhood parade! Ask friends and other families to come out, costume up, and join the parade around your street. kids can make floats from wagons and bikes! 开始一个邻里的大游行！呼朋引伴来参加，穿上服装和道具，孩子们可以用马车或自行车做彩车！
53、Make ice cream.自制美味的冰淇淋！（这个可以有！）
54、Make your own outdoor movie theater and host movie night! 自家院子里做一个露天电影院，举办电影之夜！（现实版：在家，全家人一起看场电影吧！）
55、Take bike rides for fun. Either leave from your own house or drive to biking trails. 一家人一起骑自行车，可以从家里开始，或是深入到骑行自行车道。
56、Go fishing. In many states kids can drop a line in without a license.去钓鱼，美国很多州允许孩子无牌照钓鱼。（锻炼孩子的专注力哦）
57、Paddle a kayak or a canoe. Or if you´re really adventurous try white water rafting.一家人一起划皮艇或独木舟，如果特别喜欢冒险，可以试试激流泛舟。（现实版：去北海踩脚踏船吧）
58、Jump rope. Chant these jump rope rhymes.跳绳，唱些跳绳韵律歌。
59、Press summer flowers. Make a pressed flower picture.采集夏花，把花压在纸上做出艺术品。
60、String beads. Beading for kids can be as simple or complex as you choose. 串珠，可以特别简单，也可以特别复杂！（推荐B.Toys波普珠珠）
